Overview
This is the BatteryGeek BG 15-21-130 external battery pack from http://www.batterygeek.net/. It basically acts as your AC Adapter and plugs directly into your electronic device to make it last for exceedingly long periods of use. It comes with about 20 different adapter tips to fit various electronics devices. This specific model will only work with devices within the voltage range of 16V-19V. There are other models selling that will power devices in a larger range, e.g. 5V-28V.
My experience with this battery pack is that it doubles the 4hours lifespan of my laptop. My laptop normally lasts 4hrs with the supplied battery. This external battery pack gives it an additional 8 hours of operation time. Therefore, I can be mobile for 12hours with this battery pack.
The battery pack is not very heavy either, and is portable enough to easily fit into any backpack or manbag. The battery pack weighs 1.87lbs. The dimensions are: 8.93x4.84x.87(in).
It comes in a partial soft leather case as you can see in the pictures posted above and below.
Issues
One issue with this device is that if you leave it sitting around for a few weeks it will lose about half of its charge. This is only a minor issue because most people would probably use it within a few days of charging it, most likely the next day or the same day. There is not a noticable loss of battery charge after 1 or 2 days, however, after a week to two weeks, the battery level indicator drops by about 25%.
Conclusion
I recommend this battery pack because it does everything that it should do, and I have not had any major problems with the device. If you require a battery pack that will be left idle for more than 1 week and still retain a substantial amount of charge, this is not the battery pack for you. However, if you are going to use your battery pack within 0-3 days of charging it, you will experience outstanding battery life.
